Hi! I'm Amy - Soccer Mom, Ortho PA and New Founder of Match Fit

My name is Amy. I'm an orthopedic physician assistant who has spent years caring for athletes with injuries, and I'm also a soccer mom who knows the feeling of watching a child stay down on the field a few seconds too long. I understand both sides of that moment: the clinical decisions and the parent panic.

Match Fit started as a simple idea in my head during those long evenings after games: there has to be an easier way for parents to get clear guidance when their child is injured. Not generic advice, but real, practical support from someone who understands youth sports, orthopedics and the reality of family life.

Recently, I took a big step and started an MBA program. I'm learning how to turn this idea -- Match Fit -- from "I wish this existed" into a real, sustainable business that actually helps families. I'll be figuring out strategy, leadership, and entrepreneurship in real time, and I want to share that journey openly.

On this blog, you can expect:

  • honest stories from my life as a soccer mom

  • simple explanations about common sports injuries and what to do next

  • behind-the-scenes updates as I build Match Fit from the ground up

  • reflections from my MBA --what I'm learning about business and how it applies to parents and young athletes

My goal is for you to feel like you're hearing from another parent who "gets it," but also someone who can translate medical and business jargon into something useful.

If you're a parent of a young athlete and you want clearer answers, less confusion, and a glimpse into what it's like to build Match Fit and an MBA at the same time, I'd love for you to follow along and be part of the community.
